Capacity Building Workshop for Knowledge Management and Knowledge Networking - 16th - 18th Bengaluru

UN Solution Exchange - Karnataka Community* and Public Software Centre, IT for Change** organised the Capacity Building Workshop for Knowledge Management and Knowledge Networking with support from UNICEF, on the 16th ,17th and 18th December 2010 at Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

The workshop was for organisations working in the Bengaluru Division of Karnataka.

wksp A CD containing software was distributed to all participants.Public Software Centre can work with the organisations after the workshop to provide support for adopting FOSS applications in a phased manner.

 

The objectives of this workshop were -

  1. to familiarise the organisations with the basic ICT tools that are freely available and will be useful in their day to day work
  2. to build in-house capacity through training
  3. to enable sharing of best practices and learning experiences which will support knowledge management within and across organisations.
  4. to enable the organisations to build linkages with the existing networks like the UN Solution Exchange- Karnataka Community
  5. to support the design and development of more applications necessary for the participation of all in the digital world

How can this workshop help your organisation?

The workshop's main goal is to popularise the idea and use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within the development sector. ICTs can be used to not only facilitate the day to day activities of your NGO but also to enable easier access to information and exchange of best practices.
